Outstanding Childcare in a Natural, Home-Like Setting
Nestled in the heart of the Ribble Valley, Little Sparks Nursery & Pre-school has been proudly offering outstanding childcare and education since 2009. Registered for up to 50 children per day, we welcome little ones from 6 weeks to 5 years into our warm, natural, home-feel environment where they can thrive, learn, and grow.
Exceptional Outdoor Spaces
Our nursery boasts a fantastic outdoor area that’s a huge hit with the children, thoughtfully divided into three engaging spaces:
- Natural Investigation Area:
Complete with a mud kitchen, balancing bridge, wooden climbing frame, a magical big willow tree den, and a tyre swing, this space inspires adventure and curiosity. - Toddler and Baby Sensory Area:
Filled with plants and herbs for hands-on exploration, this area also features a large sandpit that’s always popular with our youngest learners. - Outdoor Classroom:
A large summer house serves as a daily learning hub for our pre-school children, bringing education and fresh air together beautifully.
Our Mission
At Little Sparks Nursery, we aim to:
-
Give each child their own individual voice, listening to their interests, experiences, and ideas about the world. Using them to create a personalised and creative journey of learning and development together.
-
Provide a happy, safe, warm, and stimulating environment through a holistic approach for all children to play, learn and develop freely.
-
Help children to develop responsibility for themselves and their actions and to become competent, confident, resilient, independent, and co-operative individuals.
-
Encourage children to have a positive attitude and respect themselves and other people.
-
Promote a positive relationship with parents, carers and multi-agency professionals and work in partnership with them to provide high quality teaching and learning, and care for their children.
-
Provide a professional team that is experienced, enthusiastic, and committed, well trained, and well supported.
-
Promote enthusiasm and eagerness to learn and confidence to celebrate achievements, persevere through challenge and learn together.
-
To share a love for reading and language – sharing stories and songs every day.
-
Provide a curriculum that embraces social, physical, moral, and intellectual development giving children all the experiences that will support their knowledge of their world around them, self-regulation skill and school readiness.
